 Tekcem Day Joint Reinforcement Mesh is a lightweight, high-strength reinforcement designed to provide crack control in concrete slabs, screeds, and structural toppings. 

Manufactured from basalt fibre-reinforced polymer (BFRP), it offers a durable, non-corrosive alternative to traditional steel mesh. 

Tekcem Day Joint Reinforcement Mesh provides an advanced solution for crack control and reinforcement in ground-bearing concrete slabs, screeds, and structural toppings.

 Supplied in easy-to-handle 2400mm x 550mm or 2400mm x 7000mm strips, it can be cut quickly on site and laid with minimal effort, making it a practical choice for both new builds and refurbishment projects.

Engineered from basalt fibre-reinforced polymer (BFRP), the mesh delivers tensile strength of 1250–1350 MPa – almost 2.5 times stronger than steel, while being six times lighter. This reduces handling challenges, improves site efficiency, and lowers transport costs. 

Unlike steel, Tekcem Day Joint Reinforcement Mesh will not corrode, making it ideal for long-term durability in demanding environments.

It can be used as a direct replacement for D49 steel mesh, with simple 100mm laps, and is designed to restrict crack width once movement occurs, helping to prevent curling and maintaining screed performance. 

With a significantly lower carbon footprint than steel, it also supports more sustainable construction practices.
